CRAFT CLUSTER DOCUMENT FOR KOTHAKOTA DOCUMENT
Project Aim: Our team of 8 stayed in Kothakota, a small municipality in Wanaparthy district, Telangana for 4 days. Tried to observe and learn about the handcrafted kothakota sarees. We interviewed them about the entire process from start to finish and also recorded every step. We then created a document report based on primary and secondary research data that covered everything from raw materials to process. It also encompasses the markets and branding of the sarees and an analysis of the current situation of the craft and what are the opportunities that would help the craft grow in future.
